Danny Anthes

David C. Atkins

David C. Atkins is the Executive Director of Licensing, Marketing, and Administration at George Mason University where he is responsible for negotiating and administering contracts associated with trademark licensing, campus bookstores, technology store, beverage/snack vending, and retail banking valued in excess of $48 million. Atkins also is responsible for brand awareness in the retail environment and division-wide marketing. Prior to this role, he has led student center and housing departments at Mason and the University of Maryland at Baltimore, respectively. Kendra Courtenay

Kendra Courtenay is the Real Estate & Financial Specialist for Business Services. She has been working at Mason since 2014 and is responsible for the Real Estate day to day activities, as well as prepares financial reports and tracks financial activity for the departmental units. Bill Dracos

William (Bill) M. Dracos is the Associate Vice President for Business Services where he oversees daily operations, strategic initiatives, capital investment plans, long-term business planning, and monitoring of performance goals and metrics. He also serves as the Managing Director of Mason's internal consulting practice, University Business Consulting. Prior to Mason, Bill served as Chief Business Practice Improvement Officer and AVP for Administration at Emory University. Mr. Dracos holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Duke University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Buz Grover

Buz Grover is the Associate Director of Contracts and Special Projects for Business Services, handling Mason’s managed print services program, mailroom, copy center, digital signage, as well as ensuring Mason’s minors on campus policy is followed. A graduate of Mason, Buz is a Fellow with the Cave Research Foundation and spends much of his time outdoors. 3200 Merten Hall, MSN 4A1

Danielle Kirby

Danielle Kirby is the Senior Budget and Finance Analyst for Business Services. She prepares financial reports and tracks financial activity for the business units that are managed by Business Services. Danielle graduated from Mason with a BA in Integrative Studies, concentration in Organizational Administration. Cynthia Knight

Cynthia Knight is the Office Manager and the AE to the AVP for Business Services. Responsible for the day-to-day operations within the unit. Cynthia came to us from the University of Mary Washington in January 2018. Mark Kraner

Mark Kraner is the Executive Director of Campus Retail Operations. Mark Kraner has 44 years of higher education management experience, from campus dining to childcare centers; he has managed the spectrum of collegiate auxiliary units. From the Saga Corporation, to self-operation of dining programs, and now as a contract liaison with multiple contract food service providers, his career has led to providing campuses with 24 hour - 365 days per year service. As the Past President of NACUFS, he has also been involved with NACAS as a regional leader and today as a member of the NACAS Foundation Board. André Kinney

André Kinney is the Director of Real Estate for the Fairfax and Prince William campuses. In this capacity, he leads efforts to align the University’s real estate assets with mission, strategic intent, and participates in the collective efforts associated with the Universities Master Plan work. André joins the University with more than 30 years of real estate experience including strategy, development, transactions, and management. He previously served as COO and Director of Asset Management for Real Estate Capital Partners and led the team responsible for all facets of strategy and oversight of a $7 billion US real estate portfolio. André has been a professor in the GMU MRED program, as well as a guest lecturer at Georgetown and the University of Wisconsin for real estate students.3200 Merten Hall, MSN 4A1

Shira Kulok

Shira Kulok is the Director of the Child Development Center managing all aspects of Child Development Center operations. Shira joined the GMU CDC team in August of 2016. Having spent the past 12 years with international early care and education provider, Bright Horizons, nine of which she served as Center Director, Shira brings a wealth of experience and expertise in areas of child development, parent partnerships, client relations, and early childhood curriculum. Patrick McCavitt

Patrick McCavitt is the Senior Director of Finance and Operations. He manages business planning, budgeting and finances for Business Services, Mason’s auxiliary business operations of third-party managed and self-operated units, and the University Life student affairs division. Prior to Mason, he worked in banking, finance, venture capital, and asset transactions for financial services firms. Whitney Owen

Whitney Owen is the Director of University Business Consulting, where she is responsible for establishing the practice to identify and capitalize on opportunities for innovation, planned and structured growth, and increased effectiveness across George Mason University. Prior to joining Mason, Whitney was the Director of the Health & Human Services Market at LMI, where she led a $40M portfolio and a 150-person team supporting healthcare clients across the Federal government. She holds a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University and a B.S. in International Affairs from Georgia Tech. Debbie Williams

Debbie Williams is the Associate Director for Finance and Internal Controls. She manages the budget development and process, financial reporting, and internal controls for Business Services and its units, which are self-operating and/or third party-managed. Most of her career is at Mason; she previously worked in Finance and Planning, the Budget Office, and the President’s Office. Steve Morehouse

Stephen Morehouse is the Director of Renovations and Student Centers for Business Services. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Student Centers facilities which comprises the Johnson Center, Sub I, and the Hub. He also manages renovations and construction for the Business Services unit and serves as the contract administrator for EagleBank Arena. Stephen graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and has a graduate certificate in Higher Education Administration from George Mason University.
